Coco Chanel is one of my favorite designer. She is a French creator and she still influences fashion today. So let’s talk about her and what did she do to make her name an icon of elegance and luxury.
She wanted to do elegant and simple clothes for any women. So she started creating simple hats. And it’s her simplicity that makes her famous.
Her most famous creations are still:
- The two-tones shoes which refines the legs.
• The little black dress. It is very simple, unlike the too showy eccentricities of the time. Later this dress will be found in all wardrobes.
• The Chanel number 5. This perfume was created in 1921. It’s the first perfume to be called with a simple number. Chanel confided her desires to Ernest Beaux who had perfumed the Russian court
Gabrielle Chanel dead in 1971 at the age of 87 in the Hotel Ritz where she had resided for more than 30 years.
